WoW Forever Skyborne Race Guide

Horde or Alliance

The Skyborne share one ancestry but disagree about their future, so each character picks a side at creation. According to Blizzard's panel recap, Horde-aligned Skyborne embrace elemental traditions, while Alliance-aligned Skyborne pursue the arcane legacy of their ancestors. That choice decides their extra class and one of their racials.

Starting zone: Zephras Isle

Skyborne characters begin on Zephras Isle, which Blizzard describes as an elemental, skybound starting experience for levels 1 through 12, blending Classic Warcraft aesthetics with architecture inspired by Skywall. Access to the race and to Zephras Isle come together in every Skyborne pack.

How to unlock the Skyborne

The race isn't included in the base game. Any of the three optional upgrades unlocks it:

• Skyborne Heroic Pack: the race and Zephras Isle, early name reservation, a mount and cosmetics.
• Skyborne Epic Pack: everything in the Heroic Pack, plus beta access and 30 days of Game Time.
• Warcraft Forever Collection: everything in the Epic Pack, plus Warcraft III: Reforged and more, on sale until Jan 11, 2027.
