WoW Forever Legacy Perks

Quick answerreported

Legacy perks are account-wide bonuses you buy with Legacy points, one point for each Legacy challenge you complete. The BlizzCon demo showed 20 perks in three trees: Adventure, Resourcefulness and Professions. None of them add combat power. Each character can spend 16 points at launch, out of 65 you can earn, according to the BlizzCon Deep Dive panel.

How Legacy points work

Legacy is WoW Forever's reward for levelling more than one character. Completing a Legacy challenge earns one point, and the perks you buy with those points apply to every character on your account. Our Legacy system news post covers the challenges and the cosmetic reward track.

  • Perks sit in three trees and many have several ranks; the effects below are what each tooltip showed in the demo.
  • Each character can spend up to 16 Legacy points at launch. Blizzard's Deep Dive panel put the total you can earn at 65 and said more trees are coming.
  • The Professions tree also had two empty slots whose tooltip read "To be added in future patch content".
  • Talented changes when you get your first talent point, so it matters for planning in the talent calculator: points start at level 9, and the cap stays at 51.
