Skyborne classes confirmed: Shaman for Horde, Mage for Alliance
- Faction is chosen at character creation
- Both factions: Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, Druid (new forms)
- Horde: Shaman · Alliance: Mage
- The race requires the Skyborne Heroic Pack or higher
Blizzard's What's Next panel recap, published Sept 12, 2026, confirms the Skyborne class list that had previously only been reported. Players choose whether a Skyborne character joins the Horde or the Alliance at character creation.
On either side, Skyborne can be Warriors, Hunters, Rogues or Druids, and Druids get new Skyborne forms. Horde-aligned Skyborne embrace elemental traditions and can also be Shaman; Alliance-aligned Skyborne pursue the arcane legacy of their ancestors and can also be Mage.
The race isn't free. Blizzard's pre-purchase post lists access to the Skyborne and their Zephras Isle starting experience in the Skyborne Heroic Pack, and the Epic Pack and Warcraft Forever Collection both include it. MMORPG.com and Icy Veins report the Heroic Pack at $29.99.
Still unknown: the Skyborne's racial abilities, and whether the race will ever unlock without buying a pack.
