Forever's professions get 600+ recipes and a camping system

In Classic most people treat professions as something to sort out at 60. Forever wants them to be part of the trip. There are more than 600 new recipes spread across every level range, plenty of existing recipes have been updated, and useful ones start at low skill. Starting zones get extra profession trainers, recipes and quests, and more recipes, materials and crafted items are planned after launch.

Cooking finally has a job while leveling. Almost every crafted food gives a stat bonus and a small experience bonus, so eating before a pull becomes a normal part of questing, not just something you do before a hard dungeon.

The bigger change is camping. The cooking fire becomes a proper campsite that can offer resting benefits, vendors, repairs, profession workspaces and one-hour buffs. You have to sit by the fire for a short while before the buffs kick in. That pause is on purpose. It's the same kind of moment as waiting on a summon at a meeting stone, and it's usually when people start talking.

A basic campsite holds up to three special objects, and each player can add one. Every profession has its own. You learn the first ones at around 20 skill, and better versions come from blueprints you find while adventuring. A Blacksmith can set up a sharpening wheel for Strength, a Tailor a faction banner for Spirit, and an Herbalist an incense candle for Intellect.

Camp buffs replace the matching class buff rather than stacking with it. The incense candle takes the same buff slot as Arcane Intellect, for example. A group without a Mage still gets covered, and a Mage in the group is still worth having.

Mounts change too. Forever uses the Burning Crusade split, where more of the cost sits on riding training and less on the mount itself. Getting to ride should still feel like one of the big moments of leveling.
