No meeting stone summons in the WoW Forever demo, and no automatic group finder

In short
  • Meeting stones didn't summon players in the BlizzCon demo
  • A Warlock's Ritual of Summoning is the only summon
  • The group tool lists groups but doesn't form them or teleport you
  • You travel to every dungeon and raid entrance yourself

If you were hoping to be pulled straight to a dungeon entrance, the BlizzCon demo of WoW Forever says otherwise. Warcraft Tavern, playing the demo on the show floor, found that meeting stones don't summon players.

The only way to summon someone is a Warlock's Ritual of Summoning, which needs two more party members standing there to help.

There is a Looking For Group window, but it's the one WoW Classic has today. It helps you put a group together, and that's all: it doesn't match you automatically or teleport anyone to the dungeon. Getting there means traveling to the entrance, the way it worked in 2004.

That fits what Blizzard says Forever is about: the world and the journey through it, with no flying. Blizzard hasn't commented on meeting stones directly, and this is what the demo build showed, so it could still change before launch on Nov 4, 2026.
