Leveling in Forever: new quests in old zones, better rewards, three ship routes

Levels 1 to 60 are the heart of Forever, so a lot of the new work goes into leveling. All the original quests are still there. The difference is that you're no longer stuck on the same solved route with every alt, and with no level scaling each zone keeps the difficulty it always had.

Every original starting zone gets dozens of new quests, NPCs, trainers, profession recipes and small stories. Further out, Wetlands gains more than 25 quests and a possible new route through the zone, which should help a place most Alliance players treated as a hallway between Ironforge and Menethil Harbor.

Desolace gets new quests and rewards with the Gelkis and Magram centaur, and Azshara gets a big questing expansion. There's more coming to northern Kalimdor that hasn't been announced. New zones overlap the old level ranges as well, so at most levels you'll have a real choice of where to go next.

Quest rewards are opening up too. The Mor'Ladim quest in Duskwood still gives its familiar weapon, but it now also offers Mor'Ladim's heirloom ring with spell power for casters. Hemet Nesingwary's Stranglethorn chain adds a wand and a spell sword with Strength and spell damage, clearly made with Retribution Paladins in mind, next to the hunter weapons it already had.

Travel gets easier without flying. Three ship routes are being added: Stormwind Harbor to Auberdine, Menethil Harbor to Southshore and then Auberdine, and a route from Steamwheedle Port in Tanaris toward new adventures across the sea. Friends who start on different continents can meet up much earlier, without a string of dangerous corpse runs to get there.
