Forsaken Paladins lead WoW Forever's six new race/class combos

In short
  • Alliance: Gnome Priest, Human Hunter, Dwarf Shaman
  • Horde: Orc Mage, Troll Warlock, Undead Paladin
  • Undead Paladins feel pain when they channel the Light
  • Class quests start around level 10 at Banderian Keep in Tirisfal
  • Their own class steed and a level 60 epic mount quest

Six new race and class combinations are coming. Alliance players get Gnome Priest, Human Hunter and Dwarf Shaman. Horde players get Orc Mage, Troll Warlock and Undead Paladin. More combinations are planned for later.

Most of these are easy to believe. Wildhammer dwarves have practiced shamanism for a long time, and trolls have never been shy about dark magic. The Undead Paladin is the one people will argue about, so it comes with a proper story.

Forsaken Paladins tie back to the Forsaken Kingdom campaign from Warcraft III, and their story is about distrust and pain. To most Forsaken, a Paladin means the Scarlet Crusade, the people hunting undead across Tirisfal. Channeling the Light hurts an undead Paladin badly, and some of the Paladins who were raised can't cope with it and lash out at other Forsaken.

So player Paladins have to earn their place. At around level 10 their class quests start at Banderian Keep in the Whispering Wood, a part of northwestern Tirisfal Glades that was never reachable before. By the end they have to win the acceptance of Sylvanas herself.

The mounts follow the same idea. Forsaken Paladins get their own Paladin steed, and at level 60 they have an epic mount quest of their own. Alliance Paladins earn their charger in the name of redemption. Forsaken Paladins ride in the name of retribution.
