What Forever teased for later: Grim Batol, a legendary and maybe a new class
- Grim Batol and a growing red dragon presence
- More Azshara content around its big unused crater
- A revamped iconic raid and Forever's first new legendary
- A larger PvP redesign, more Legacy trees and more race/class combos
- A new class is not off the table, but nothing is announced
Not everything shown for Forever is a firm launch feature. A handful of things were teased with very few details, and a few more were only floated as ideas. Here's that list, kept apart from the confirmed stuff.
Grim Batol is the big one. The old dwarven fortress in the eastern Wetlands has sat behind a closed gate since 2004, and red dragons are showing up in growing numbers. Given what the Dragonmaw orcs did with the red dragons there before WoW began, that's worth keeping an eye on. Azshara is also getting more, built around the huge crater in the middle of the zone that never had anything in it.
On the endgame side, a revamped iconic raid is coming, with no word on which one, along with Forever's first new legendary, which looks tied to Hyjal Summit. A larger redesign of PvP was teased without details. More Legacy trees and perks are planned, and so are more race/class combinations.
Then there are the maybes. On a possible new class, the answer was that it's not off the table, and nothing more. The Emerald Dream, the Caverns of Time, Uldum, Gilneas and other unfinished corners of vanilla came up as the kind of places Forever could explore one day. All of them had a sealed gate, a wall or an empty entrance in the original game. Treat them as possibilities, not plans.
I'll move any of these into the guides as soon as one gets real details or a date.
