Undead Paladin, Dwarf Shaman and more: WoW Forever's new race/class combos

WoW Forever adds race and class pairings that the original game never had. Blizzard's What's Next panel recap, published Sept 12, 2026, promises "new race and class combinations" but doesn't list them.

Warcraft Tavern, which says it accessed a demo version of the game, lists six new combinations for existing races. On the Horde side: Undead Paladin, Orc Mage and Troll Warlock. On the Alliance side: Human Hunter, Dwarf Shaman and Gnome Priest. It notes the Undead Paladin also featured in Forever's reveal cinematic.

Those come on top of the Skyborne, who Blizzard confirms can be Warriors, Hunters, Rogues or Druids on either faction, plus Shaman on the Horde and Mage on the Alliance.

We're labelling the list reported until Blizzard publishes its own. Demo builds can change before launch, and the beta opening on Sept 17, 2026 should show which combos make the cut.

Racials are changing too: Blizzard's recap says the Skyborne get "new racials", but it doesn't describe them, and we haven't been able to verify any racial details yet.
