WoW Forever's Legacy system: challenges on every 1–60 run unlock perks for your alts

WoW Forever adds a Legacy system for players who level more than one character. Blizzard's What's Next panel recap, published Sept 12, 2026, describes it as "Legacy progression for players who love leveling and running alternate characters (alts)", and MMO-Champion's recap of the panel says it unlocks new things across the account with each alt.

Output Lag's report from the same panel adds the mechanics. Legacy Challenges during each level 1–60 run earn Legacy Points, and the perks they unlock carry over to your alts. The challenges span six categories: Classes, Tradeskills, PvP, Adventure, Dungeons and Raids.

According to Output Lag, Associate Production Director Clay Stone tied the system to the leveling journey, an element he said is "only found in Classic".

Still unknown: the actual perks and their values, how many points each challenge is worth, and whether Legacy perks are the same as the account-wide perks mentioned during the opening ceremony. We're labelling the details reported until Blizzard publishes them.
